Terms of service (beta)

Last updated October 5, 2026. Nudge is in an early, private beta. These are the plain-language ground rules for using it. They may change as the beta develops.

01

Using Nudge

Nudge is in private beta. Access to Nudge may require approval while the service is in private beta, and an account is for one person. Give us accurate details when you sign up, and keep your password (or your Google account) secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

By creating an account or using Nudge, you agree to these terms and to the privacy notice.

02

Your content

Your courses, grades, deadlines, syllabus files and everything else you add stay yours. You give Nudge permission to store and process them only to run the service for you, including sending the relevant parts to the AI provider for the features you use (see the privacy notice).

Only upload material you are allowed to use. If a syllabus or course material is restricted, don't upload it.

03

Acceptable use

  • Don't try to break, overload or get around Nudge, including its sign-in, access approval and rate limits.
  • Don't access another person's account or data, or use Nudge to harm anyone.
  • Don't scrape the service or run automated requests against it.
  • Nudge is a planning tool. You are responsible for following your school's rules, including its academic integrity policy.
04

Estimates, not official records

Grade calculations, target grades, study schedules and AI suggestions are estimates to help you plan. They can be wrong or out of date. Your official grades and deadlines are the ones your school and instructors publish, so check anything important with them.

05

Other services

Nudge can connect to services such as Google (to sign in), Canvas (to import courses) and an AI provider. Those services have their own terms, and your use of them is up to you. You can disconnect Canvas in Settings.

06

Beta software

Nudge is early software. It may change, have bugs, go down, or lose data, and features can be added, changed or removed. We do our best, but we provide it “as is” and don't promise it will always be available or error-free.

To the extent the law allows, Nudge and the people who run it are not liable for losses that come from using it, such as a missed deadline or an incorrect estimate. Keep your own record of anything you can't afford to lose.

07

Ending your use

You can stop at any time and delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms or put the service or other people at risk, and we may end the beta or the service with notice where we can.

08

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the beta develops. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using Nudge after a change, you accept the updated terms.
